Mr Fluffypunk's Penny Gaff
SVA, Goods Shed
Saturday 08 Dec 2018 19:30
It's back!! Mr Fluffypunk's Penny Gaff: bringing obscure art to the masses. Cabaret with a spoken word spine, now in the Goods Shed with the heaters on, so EVERYONE gets a comfy seat! This month's headliner is RACHEL PANTECHNICON. The woman who won the 2004 Glastonbury Festival Poetry Slam, although she only entered it for the experience (and was perhaps the only person on site wearing court-shoes); specialist in motivational poetry for cats and people and the author of the well-known story-books about Cheesegrater Leg-Iron Lion. In short, a most peculiar talent.
She has had her poetry broadcast on Radios 1, 3 and 4, and is still holding out for Radio 2. Till then, she is sustained by the cherished memories of her glory years. The great lost act of the noughties.
