SVA

Monday 15 Oct 2018 19:30

A talk by Dougald Hine (Dark Mountain Project) with contributions from Francis Barton and Periscope. What does it mean to create 'a gathering place and a learning community for those who are drawn to the work of regrowing a living culture'? Dougald Hine will be talking about HOME, the 'school for culturemakers' which he and Anna Björkman have co-founded, with contributions from Francis Barton (play worker/ludic technologies) who travelled to Sweden this summer for 'Finding Our Way Home', the first course at the school, and Periscope (artists Emily Joy and Alison Cockcroft). Dougald is an author, editor and culturemaker, originally from the north-east of England and now based in the Swedish city of Västerås. He co-founded School of Everything, Spacemakers and The Dark Mountain Project. In 2012, he was named one of 'Britain's 50 New Radicals' by NESTA.
